About the Program

Our member school districts offer developmentally appropriate preschool programs, providing educational services to typically developing children and children with special needs, between the ages of 3 and 5.

Eligibility

Children who have strong skills in all areas of development are included as “typical peers”. All preschool aged children are screened as part of their entrance, through the Early Childhood Developmental Screenings provided by the Northwest Ohio ESC. Typical peer selection is limited, as the state mandates the number of typical peers programs can accept.

Children may qualify for special education services in one or more of the following areas: communication, vision, hearing, fine or gross motor, social-emotional, self-help, and/or cognitive skills.

If you suspect your preschool-aged child (3-5 years) has a disability, please 567-444-4818. We will collect basic information about your concerns for your child to determine the next steps.

Screening Information

For a screening appointment, please contact our office at 567-444-4818. Screenings for the 2024-25 school year will begin on February 26, 2024 and run through April 22, 2024. Enrollment will begin in May once screenings are complete.

Required Documentation for Preschool Enrollment

Child’s official birth certificate (from the health department not the hospital)
Proof of residency (any bill with address; no junk mail)
Custody documentation, if applicable
Child’s immunization records
